7 SAGE GIRL ATHLETES NOW IN MED SCHOOL

Seven former Monticello girl athletes are now well on their way to becoming medical doctors. Jessica Moore, class of 1997, just finished work on her medical degree and will soon begin internship. She was the point guard on three of Monticello girl basketball teams. The 1996-97 team had a 22-5 record.
Sarah Bridwell, class of 1995, is an OBGYN doing her internship after finishing her degree at SIU. Molly Marker, who was a three sport star graduating in 1999, is working on her medical degree at Loyola. Lexie Hillard, from the same class as Marker, is in med school at SIU.
The three Hill sisters, who were all top Monticello high and all-area volleyball players, are working toward medical degrees. Kate Hill, who lettered in volleyball at both Northwestern and Illinois, has two years to go before finishing her doctorate of dentistry. Carley Hill, who played volleyball two years at Clemson, is now in pre-med at the University of Illinois. Meg Hill is on her way to a degree in general medicine but may go on to study neurosurgery.
